What are Cannabinoids?

What is the difference between CBD and hemp?

Why should I choose CBD over medical cannabis?

Medical cannabis is another term for medical marijuana. Marijuana contains THC, which is a cannabinoid that causes a high. Medical cannabis can cause severe impairments. Is Full Spectrum CBD oil safe to carry through an airport?

Yes. Rest assured that full spectrum CBD can be transported on a plane. Authorities are not concerned with hemp CBD oil. They are concerned with interstate trafficking of marijuana and other drugs. Also, for this reason, drug-sniffing dogs are not trained to detect hemp CBD oil.

What is the best way to take CBD?

CBD can be administered in a variety of ways. The list below shows the most effective delivery methods for getting CBD into your bloodstream, with 1 being most effective to 10 being least effective.

1. Vaping – Vaping is the most effective CBD delivery method. It involves inhaling a vaporized oil preparation. 
2. Vaginal Suppository – This is one of the least desirable delivery methods for obvious reasons.

What is the ideal serving size?

The ideal serving size of CBD for each person depends on a wide range of variables, including the reason it is being used, the method of administration, sex, age, weight, diet, exercise and so on. It also depends on the product. Servings of 5 to 50 milligrams per day are commonly reported for health maintenance, mood enhancement, and minor pain reduction. Higher servings, although not harmful, are not recommended unless being used to treat a particular disorder, in which case it is recommended that you consult with a qualified medical professional.

How often can I take CBD?

CBD can be taken multiple times each day, or at particular times of day, depending on the reason it is being used. CBD oil is also often administered upon the onset of particular conditions such as pain and anxiety.*

Are there any negative side effects?

Does CBD have a shelf life?

How should I store CBD products? Do I need to refrigerate?

We highly recommend either refrigerating CBD products or storing them in a cool place. Always keep CBD products in airtight containers and store them away from direct sunlight and heat, which can degrade certain compounds in CBD oil.

Will CBD oil show up on a drug test?

No. Drug tests do not test for CBD. CBD cannot produce a false positive on a test designed to look for THC. As long as you’re using products which have all the THC removed, such as those produced by Lone Star Organix, and you are not using marijuana products, you will not fail a drug test.

Will CBD help me if I’m healthy?

Because of its ability to help the body maintain homeostasis, reduce inflammation and act as an antioxidant, CBD is often used as a health maintenance supplement.

Does CBD interact with other medications?

Studies have shown that CBD may affect the metabolism of certain classes of drugs, but effects have been shown to be minimal. Much more research needs to be done in this area. If you are taking prescription medications, consult with a qualified medical professional.

How long will it take to receive benefits from taking CBD oil?

In some cases, such as when using a vaporizer or sublingual tincture, users often report almost immediate results. However, most of the effects of CBD are subtle and take some time to be detectable — usually half an hour or more. Personal results will vary.

What methods of extraction do you use?

Is your product organic? Vegan-friendly?

Yes. Lone Star Organix products are grown using organic methods and contain other organically grown ingredients. All the products are vegan-friendly, except for the soft gels. We are hoping to introduce our next generation soft gel in the fall, which will be 100% vegan.

I have a gluten allergy. Can I use your products?

Yes. All Lone Star Organix products are gluten-free. Robin takes all of the products.

Can I give my pet CBD?

Yes, CBD is safe for pets. Most customers use our Dog Treats for dogs and our natural flavored tinctures for other pets. What is the endocannabinoid system?

The human endocannabinoid system, or ECS, is a system of neurotransmitters and cell membrane receptors. Neurotransmitters such as endocannabinoids are produced by the central nervous system and interact with cannabinoid receptors on cell membranes to adjust physiological processes at a cellular level.

What is the entourage effect?

Full spectrum CBD oil, such as that used in Lone Star Organix products, contains a variety of cannabinoids and terpenes as well as other beneficial compounds. Each of the compounds has particular effects on the human body. Because terpenes can affect how the body responds to cannabinoids, the combined effect is often greater than the sum of the individual effects. Is CBD water soluble?
